Baseball Preview: Rosemead Panthers vs. South El Monte Eagles
Rosemead is 2-8 against South El Monte since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Rosemead will be strutting in after a victory while South El Monte will be coming in after a defeat.
Rosemead gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on El Monte with a sharp 11-1 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Logan Mojica was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Rosemead is undefeated when Mojica posts two or more runs, but 4-12 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Gonzalez, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Meanwhile, South El Monte fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Marshall on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 8-5 to Marshall. That makes it the first time this season South El Monte has let down their home crowd.
