Basketball Recap: Penelope Comes Up Short

Penelope won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Slocum Mustangs 69-32. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-12 back in January.

Penelope's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Slocum, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 19-11 record this season.

Penelope will be playing in front of their home fans against Coolidge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Coolidge will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Penelope surely won't give up without a fight. Slocum has already played their next match (against Neches), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
