Softball Recap: Bonita Wins Going Away Against San Dimas

Bonita barely beat San Dimas the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bonita Bearcats never let the San Dimas Saints get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory on Thursday. That looming 17-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bearcats yet this season.

Bonita got a massive performance out of Skyy Hicks, who scored four runs while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Hicks a new career-high in runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Reynolds, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Bonita kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Bonita's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for San Dimas, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.

Coming up, Bonita will square off against Diamond Bar at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Dimas, they will take on Paraclete in a tournament on Saturday. Paraclete will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something San Dimas surely won't give up without a fight.
