Basketball Recap: Treutlen Takes a Loss

Treutlen played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the East Laurens Falcons 77-49. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-25.

Kelvion King was nothing short of spectacular for East Laurens: he dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. King continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Bryson Hazley was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

Treutlen's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for East Laurens, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Treutlen will head out to square off against Dooly County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Treutlen is facing Dooly County at the right time seeing as Dooly County is stuck on a four-game losing streak. East Laurens has already played their next game (against Dublin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
