The Valor North Austin Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Valor South Austin Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Valor North Austin can't be to happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on October 4th. They were dealt a 54-7 defeat at the hands of Founders Classical Academy.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Valor South Austin challenged Winston on Friday. Valor South Austin blew past Winston 49-0 on the road. That 49 point margin sets a new team best for the Falcons this season.
Kendal Gill was his usual excellent self, throwing for 145 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 58 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Eric Sampson was another key player, picking up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Valor South Austin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 203 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winston only rushed for 58.
Valor South Austin wouldn't let Winston keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Elliot Martinez, Corbane Andrade, and Eric Kazmeirski picked up one apiece. Martinez is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
