Volleyball Recap: Providence Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Providence Christian Academy entered their tilt with Athens Academy on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Thursday.

Tyler Clements paced Providence Christian Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Clements got some help from Sydney Cook and her 39 assists. Reece Myers controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Athens Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Riley Muir had eight digs and three aces. Riley Harding also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Providence Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 34-8. As for Athens Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 22-12.

Providence Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Oglethorpe County on the 4th. As for Athens Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Banks County on the 4th.
