Basketball Game Preview: Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans vs. Mintz Christian Academy Lions

The Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans will head out on the road to challenge the Mintz Christian Academy Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Triad Baptist Christian Academy had taken Union Grove Christian down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Titans fell 58-53 to the Patriots.

Despite their loss, Triad Baptist Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Morgan Harrelson, who went 8-for-16 to rack up 22 points and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Harrelson has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Macey Allen, who posted 19 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mintz Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Liberty Christian Academy, posting a 41-7 win. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won three in a row.

The win got Mintz Christian Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 5-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
