Basketball Recap: Jones County Falls to White River in First Game of Season

Jones County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 44-33 to the White River Tigers on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Coyotes of the 64-47 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jones County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Highmore/Harrold at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. White River will take on St. Francis Indian in a holiday battle at at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
