Soccer Recap: Homer Comes Up Short

Homer was the 2-1 winner over Ketchikan when they last played one another on Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Mariners fell 2-0 to the Kings on Saturday. Homer fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Ketchikan since on Saturday.

This is the second loss in a row for Homer and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Ketchikan, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coincidentally, Homer and Ketchikan will both be playing Soldotna the next time they take the pitch. The Mariners will host the Stars at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Kings will host them at 5:00 p.m. on May 9.
