Volleyball Recap: Churchill's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Churchill waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Paint Branch Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Churchill took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-9, 25-15.

Churchill's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brian Chen, who had nine digs and two aces.

Chen wasn't the only good server: Churchill was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Churchill's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Paint Branch, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Churchill will venture away from home to face off against Whitman at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be Churchill's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Paint Branch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
