Baseball Game Preview: Columbia Capitals vs. Keenan Raiders

The Columbia Capitals are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will square off against the Keenan Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Columbia is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Columbia's tournament run continued when they took on Westwood on Wednesday. Columbia came up short against Westwood, falling 20-8.

Alex Cannon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Adrian Howard was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Keenan gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They skirted past C.A. Johnson 9-7. The victory was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Keenan, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Columbia might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Keenan in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Columbia avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
