Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westmoreland). They were the clear victors by a 26-8 margin over the Chancellor Chargers on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Emma Burgess made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed one inning while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

In other pitching news, Teagan Clarke looked comfortable as she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs and two stolen bases. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Back at the plate, Westmoreland got a big performance out of Brooklyn Wheeler, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave Wheeler a new career-high. Hailey Jett also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Westmoreland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory (which was Westmoreland's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Chancellor, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Westmoreland will challenge Lancaster at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Chancellor, they will take on King George at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
