Volleyball Recap: Watersprings Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Watersprings lost against Challis back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Watersprings fell 3-1 to Challis. While Watersprings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Challis 25-19 in the first set.

Watersprings started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-11, 25-14, 25-23.

Madison Archambault paced Watersprings' offense, picking up seven kills. Archambault got some help from Isabella Smith and her 15 assists. Kara Olson and Hailey Springer kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Watersprings' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2. As for Challis, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Coincidentally, Watersprings and Challis will both be playing North Gem the next time they take the court. Challis will head out to face North Gem at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Watersprings will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
