Soccer Game Preview: Lafayette Jefferson vs. Mt. Vernon

The Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos are taking a road trip to face off against the Mt. Vernon Marauders at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lafayette Jefferson will be strutting in after a victory while Mt. Vernon will be coming in after a defeat.

Lafayette Jefferson had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the four-goal drubbing they dealt Twin Lakes on Thursday. The Bronchos never let the Indians get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The result kept Lafayette Jefferson happy, as they haven't lost a game since September 9th.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Mt. Vernon's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Pendleton Heights by a score of 1-0.

Lafayette Jefferson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season. As for Mt. Vernon, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-3.
