Basketball Recap: Circle Wins Going Away Against Augusta

Circle's game on Thursday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. Everything went their way against the Augusta Orioles as the Circle Thunderbirds made off with a 71-50 victory. That 21 point margin sets a new team best for the Thunderbirds this season.

Circle has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Augusta, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-1.

Coincidentally, Circle and Augusta will both be playing Collegiate the next time they take the court. Augusta will host Collegiate on Friday, while Circle will head out to face them on January 31st.
