Basketball Recap: Thunderbird Comes Up Short

Thunderbird was the 61-18 winner over Moon Valley when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Thunderbird Titans took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Moon Valley Rockets on Tuesday.

It was another big night for Kamariana Shaw, who posted 26 points and six steals for Moon Valley. Shaw has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Aniston Pattershall was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Thunderbird now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Moon Valley, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Thunderbird will square off against Goldwater at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Moon Valley, they will face off against Paradise Honors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
