Basketball Recap: West Ranch Comes Up Short

West Ranch fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Legacy Christian Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Legacy Christian Academy Lions by a score of 80-78. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (67), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Legacy Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from RJ Jarreau, who made all 8 shots he took racking up 20 points and seven rebounds. Those 20 points gave Jarreau a new career-high. Josh Lowery was another key player, putting up 20 points and three blocks.

West Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 17-9 record this season.

West Ranch has already played their next game (against Hart), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Legacy Christian Academy has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Castaic.
