Basketball Recap: Gilmer Comes Up Short

Gilmer was the 60-21 winner over Henderson when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Gilmer Buckeyes took a 44-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Henderson Lions on Friday.

Gilmer's loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Henderson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.

Gilmer will square off against Chapel Hill at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Henderson, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Henderson Lions challenge the Spring Hill Panthers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Spring Hill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
