Baseball Recap: L.E.A.D. Academy's Win Ends Ten-Game Losing Streak on the Road

L.E.A.D. Academy won against Atmore Christian last Monday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The L.E.A.D. Academy Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Munroe Bobcats, sneaking past 11-9. With that win, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Tristan Randolph, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Royce Jones was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

L.E.A.D. Academy's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2. As for Munroe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. L.E.A.D. Academy will take on Gulf Pointe Latin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Munroe will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vernon at 3:00 p.m. on March 18th.
