Basketball Recap: Summersville Comes Up Short

Summersville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gainesville Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-43 last Friday.

Summersville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Gainesville, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Summersville will face off against Alton at 3:00 p.m. on January 4th. Summersville is facing Alton at the right time seeing as Alton is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Gainesville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-44 win against Winona on the 28th.
