Basketball Game Preview: Windthorst Trojans vs. Seymour Panthers

Windthorst is 0-10 against Seymour since February of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Windthorst Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Seymour Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Windthorst sitting on five straight victories and Seymour on 11.

Last Friday, Windthorst earned a 48-37 win over Nocona.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Seymour against Olney on Friday as the team secured a 69-37 victory. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while the Cubs are ranked 1421st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Windthorst has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Seymour, they pushed their record up to 24-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Windthorst came up short against Seymour when the teams last played on January 3rd, falling 62-51. Can Windthorst avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
