Football Recap: Sage Hill Piles Up the Points Against California Lutheran

The Sage Hill Lightning humbled the California Lutheran C-Hawks with a 46-12 victory. Given the Lightning's advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the C-Hawks are ranked 60th) , the win on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Although California Lutheran took the loss, they still got scores from Joel Doebler and Eli Hansen.

The win made it two in a row for Sage Hill and bumps their season record up to 3-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 19 points in those games. As for California Lutheran, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-5.

Sage Hill wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 29-21 loss against Flintridge Prep on the 17th. As for California Lutheran, they have also already played their next matchup, a 58-42 win against Hillcrest Christian on the 17th.
