After flying high against Trimble Tech last Friday, Paschal came back down to earth. The Paschal Panthers were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 58-57 to the Arlington Heights Yellowjackets. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Deshawn Long was nothing short of spectacular for Arlington Heights: he went 9 of 14 on his way to 27 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave Long a new career-high in points. Eddie Gray was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Paschal's defeat dropped their record down to 21-7. As for Arlington Heights, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-12.

Paschal and Arlington Heights should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Paschal (ranked 196th) will meet Wyatt (ranked 1141st) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Arlington Heights will face off against Polytechnic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 584 places (280 vs. 864).
