Baseball Recap: Crystal River Find Success

Crystal River won the last time they faced Citrus and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Crystal River Pirates walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Citrus Hurricanes.

Levi Kofmehl and Grayson Stack did most of the damage at the plate: Kofmehl went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI, while Stack scored three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Stack a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Landon King, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

The win got Crystal River back to even at 3-3. As for Citrus, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Crystal River didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-2 loss against Citrus on the 21st. As for Citrus, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic on the 20th.
