Basketball Game Preview: Eastern Tech Mavericks vs. Carver A&T Wildcats

The Eastern Tech Mavericks will head out on the road to take on the Carver A&T Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Saturday, Eastern Tech came up short against Gerstell Academy and fell 48-36. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for Carver A&T, as they earned their first road win of the season. They blew past Lansdowne 47-24 two weeks ago. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 23 points or more this season.

Eastern Tech better keep an eye on Elisah Guity. She was instrumental in Carver A&T's win, putting up 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Brandon, who posted 12 points.

Carver A&T now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Eastern Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Eastern Tech came up short against Carver A&T in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 39-28. Can Eastern Tech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
