Madison Academy dropped down to 20-11 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Cullman Bearcats by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 back in February.

As for Cullman, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 22-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since March 19th.

For Cullman's part, the team relied heavily on Carson Stancil, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Jonah Inman, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Madison Academy and Cullman are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Mustangs will challenge Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cullman, they will square off against Southside at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
