Softball Recap: Riverview Academy of Math and Science Comes Up Short

Riverview Academy of Math and Science was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 14-1 to the Foundation Christian Academy Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 back in February.

Riverview Academy of Math and Science's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Foundation Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverview Academy of Math and Science will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bradenton Christian at 6:00 p.m. on March 31st. Foundation Christian Academy also won't see the field for a while: their next game is against Seffner Christian at 4:30 p.m. on March 25th. One thing working in Foundation Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
