Football Game Recap: Umatilla vs. Vale

Vale put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season on Friday. They took the match and then some with a 55-6 win over Umatilla. That looming 49-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Vale yet.

The victory (their 3rd in a row) raised Vale's record to 5-3. Umatilla are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

The teams are both focusing on improving their conference standings in their upcoming contests. Vale will look to defend their home turf next week against Burns at 7:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. As for Umatilla, they will go up against Irrigon. Both of those teams have had a rocky road up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.
