Brookfield won the last time they faced Fayette and things went their way on Monday too. The Brookfield Bulldogs walked away with a 54-43 victory over the Fayette Falcons.

Despite the defeat, Fayette saw an underclassman step up: freshman Blake Braden went 5 for 11 en route to 14 points and eight rebounds. Braden continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Payton Oeth was another key player, putting up six points and six boards.

Brookfield's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Fayette, they dropped their record down to 2-18 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

Looking ahead, Brookfield will face off against Maysville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fayette, they have already played their next game, a 63-58 defeat against Tipton on the 11th.
