Basketball Recap: St. Thomas Aquinas Comes Up Short

St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Augustine Prep squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but St. Thomas Aquinas had to settle for second. They took a 70-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Augustine Prep Hermits. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (55), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Thomas Aquinas and nudges their season record down to 12-10. As for St. Augustine Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

St. Thomas Aquinas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Augustine Prep, they will take on Paul VI on Monday. Paul VI knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully St. Augustine Prep likes a good challenge.
