Augusta Prep Day came tearing into Friday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 57-53 W against the Briarwood Academy Buccaneers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 64-34 back in January.

Augusta Prep Day had a senior duo take command as K'Vaughn Boxton almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards and Canye Walker went 7 of 16 on his way to 15 points in addition to six assists and five steals. The dominant performance gave Walker a new career-high in assists. Elijah McFadgen was another key player, going 5 for 9 to rack up 11 points.

Augusta Prep Day was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They posted six more assists than Briarwood Academy's also-impressive total of 12.

Several Buccaneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Augusta Prep Day's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for Briarwood Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-5.
