Zach Moon and Jackson Bailey secure win for Tipton

The Tipton Cardinals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They came out on top against Russellville by a score of 73-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Leading Tipton to victory were Zach Moon and Jackson Bailey. Moon scored 20 points along with nine rebounds, while Bailey scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. The match was Bailey's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emmett Haas, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.

Tipton's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.8 points per game. As for Russellville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Tipton will be playing at home against Sweet Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sweet Springs is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. Russellville will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Boonville on Saturday.
