After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Charles East, Batavia was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-37 victory over the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won nine in a row.

Batavia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaidyn King led the charge by dropping a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave King a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hallie Crane, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Batavia pushed their record up to 20-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-14.
