Volleyball Recap: Waynesboro Takes a Loss

Waynesboro was the 3-2 winner over Rockbridge County when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Little Giants took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Tuesday. The Little Giants have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-18, 22-25, 25-14, 25-22.

Morgan Sites paced Waynesboro's offense, picking up nine kills. Sites got some help from Morgan Harlow and her 12 assists. Ava Buckmaster controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Waynesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Rockbridge County, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Waynesboro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Staunton on the 16th. As for Rockbridge County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Alleghany on the 16th.
