The National Trail Blazers suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Arcanum by a score of 56-54. National Trail has struggled against Arcanum recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Leading Arcanum to victory were Brady Lock and Regan Christ. Lock scored 15 points, while Christ scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Christ pulled down eight or more rebounds. Braylen Etherington was another key contributor, scoring four points.

National Trail's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Arcanum, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. National Trail will challenge Tri-Village at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Arcanum won't have much time to rest: their next game is against New Bremen at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th.
