Sharon proved they can win big last Monday (they won by six) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Hickory Hornets 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since March 21st.

The team relied heavily on Will Beckert, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Marko Zajac was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Sharon has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Hickory, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
