            Baseball Recap: Rock Creek Academy Lions vs. Whitefield Academy Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Rock Creek Academy extended their losing streak  to five  on Friday, dropping their season record down to 3-9 in the process. They came up short against  the Whitefield Academy Wildcats, falling  17-7. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by  exactly ten  runs.
  Jordan Newton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Garrett Gullion, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run.
As for Whitefield Academy, they now  have a winning record of 8-7. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by ten  runs or more this season.
 On Whitefield Academy's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Dylan Stockton, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI. Those  three  stolen bases gave  Stockton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Brandon Barnett, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base.
 Looking ahead, Rock Creek Academy will challenge Portland Christian at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Whitefield Academy, they will take on LKY at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
