Football Recap: Twelve Bridges Starts Season with Loss at Home

Twelve Bridges unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 20-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oakmont Vikings on Thursday.

Despite the loss, Twelve Bridges still got an impressive performance from Lexi Bright, who rushed for 53 yards and one touchdown. Bright showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 53 yards.

Even if they lost, Twelve Bridges' defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In that department, Yesenia Placencia was the leader with two.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Twelve Bridges will welcome Wheatland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oakmont, they will host Whitney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
