Basketball Recap: Mahanoy Area Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

Mahanoy Area extended their road winning streak to 18 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Tanner Zawada. The Mahanoy Area Golden Bears took down the Blue Mountain Eagles 51-37 on Thursday thanks in part to Zawada, who posted 22 points along with five assists and five boards. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Mahanoy Area's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Blue Mountain, their defeat ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4.

Mahanoy Area didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-43 win against Notre Dame on the 11th. As for Blue Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 48-47 loss against Marian Catholic on the 11th.
