Basketball Recap: Lee Comes Up Short

Lee lost against Letcher County Central back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Generals lost 53-29 to the Cougars.

Despite the defeat, Lee saw an underclassman step up: freshman Gracie Caughron posted eight points and 12 boards. Caughron has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: she's posted one of at least 50% every time she's hit the court this season.

Lee's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Letcher County Central, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Lee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-29 defeat against Varsity Opponent on the 6th. As for Letcher County Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 61-22 victory against June Buchanan on the 8th.
