Baseball Game Preview: Davis Wolves vs. Comanche Indians

The Davis Wolves are taking a road trip to challenge the Comanche Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Davis prevailed. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over Lexington on Tuesday. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Comanche beat Dickson 4-1 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won eight in a row.

Davis has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Comanche, their win bumped their record up to 11-13.

Davis came out on top in a nail-biter against Comanche when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
