Dominican strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Milwaukee Reagan Huskies. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by just one run.

Lily Weiler made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Weiler wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cate Wahlen, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Maleyah Cornelius also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Dominican pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Milwaukee Reagan, the loss snapped their winning streak at ten games and leaves them with a 12-6 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dominican will host St. Catherine's at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Angels have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Milwaukee Reagan, they will be playing at home against Riverside University/Meir at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
