Burroughs waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Webster Groves Statesmen get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-4 back in April.

Burroughs' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Webster Groves, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-28 record this season.

Burroughs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-1 loss against Vianney on the 24th. Webster Groves does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
