Football Recap: Kellis Comes Up Short

Kellis extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-7. They were dealt a 56-20 defeat at the hands of the Millennium Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona football rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Tigers are ranked 35th).

As for Millennium, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points over those games.

Dmari Bryant continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 215 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry. Bryant is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 140 every time he's taken the field this season. Kadin Johnson was in the mix as well, providing Millennium with two scores.

Kellis didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-14 loss against Desert Edge on the 24th. As for Millennium, they have also already played their next game, a 44-37 defeat against Canyon View on the 24th.
