Softball Recap: Lynbrook's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lynbrook waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 victory over the South Side Cyclones. That's two games straight that the Owls have won by exactly two runs.

Lynbrook got a big performance out of Emma Mylan, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits Mylan has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kamila DeJesus, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs.

Lynbrook was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in five consecutive contests.

Lynbrook pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.75 runs across that stretch. As for South Side, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Lynbrook will be playing in front of their home fans against Freeport at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Side does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
