Baseball Recap: Edna Karr Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Edna Karr's offense. They came up short against the Brother Martin Crusaders on Friday, falling 15-0. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Edna Karr's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Brother Martin, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edna Karr will square off against Jesuit at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Edna Karr has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Brother Martin, they will take on Holy Cross at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Holy Cross has won nine straight at home, while Brother Martin won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
