Brentwood hasn't had much luck against Nolensville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bruins are taking a road trip to face off against the Knights at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Brentwood's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Centennial as they made off with a 15-0 victory. The game was the first time the Bruins have beaten the Cougars on their field since March 28, 2023.

Marina Mason made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Maggie McClendon was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bella Black, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Brentwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Nolensville got the win against Franklin on Tuesday by a conclusive 10-1. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Admirals: they've now won six in a row.
Madi Creasman looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Jaycee Bilbrey was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Emma Jadwin was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Brentwood is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Nolensville, their record is now 20-10-1.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Brentwood hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. However, it's not like Nolensville struggles in that department as they've averaged .376. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Brentwood couldn't quite get it done against Nolensville when the teams last played on April 1st as they fell 4-1. Can the Bruins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
