            Softball Recap: Fernley Vaqueros vs. Wooster Colts        
        
		
        
        
            Fernley won against Sparks  last Saturday with 20  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Saturday. The Fernley Vaqueros didn't even let the Wooster Colts on the board, marking the Fernley Vaqueros' second-straight  20-0 shutout. The  victory continues a trend for the Vaqueros in their matchups with the Colts: they've now won five in a row.
 Ximena Rodriguez and  Hunter Lyle did most of the damage at the plate:  Rodriguez  scored two  runs while going 4-for-4, while  Lyle  scored three  runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most  runs  Lyle has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Isabella Leija, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2.

As for Wooster, they will be playing at home against Portola  at 3:00  p.m.  on Monday. Portola has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.6  runs per game on average), something Wooster will no doubt try to take advantage of.
