Football Recap: East Bay's Winning Streak Snapped at 11 Games

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, East Bay couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a hard 18-0 fall against the Seminole Ridge Hawks on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Hawks are ranked first).

Victoria Whitfield threw for 101 yards on 12 of 27 attempts. Aubrey Barak was her top target, picking up 40 receiving yards.

Aubrey Fogel was her usual excellent self, throwing for 222 yards and three touchdowns for Seminole Ridge. What's more, Fogel posted two rushing yards, the most she's had since back in March.

East Bay moved to 17-4 with that defeat, which also ended their 11-game winning streak. As for Seminole Ridge, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

East Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seminole Ridge, they have already played their next game, a 26-2 win against Chiles on the 10th.
