Newport - Bellevue is a perfect 4-0 against Garfield since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Newport - Bellevue's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four matches, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Saturday, Newport - Bellevue came up short against Hazen and fell 4-1.

Newport - Bellevue got a good showing from Brooks Kapfhammer, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Kapfhammer hasn't allowed a single earned run since back in March.

Meanwhile, Garfield fell victim to Seattle Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Panthers.

Newport - Bellevue's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Garfield, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-11.

Newport - Bellevue came out on top in a nail-biter against Garfield in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
